Bavaria’s designers have given her cabins plenty of space and an inviting ambiance, including a master cabin in the bow with an en suite toilet and shower, two further double cabins aft, a galley kitchen to port, U-shaped settee encircling dining table as well as multiple skylights and picture windows that ensure plenty of natural light throughout her cabins.
Lighting design makes full use of natural light, and ventilation can be precisely managed using various options: eight roof hatches, newly designed flush windows in the coach roof, and both hull and cockpit windows can all be opened at different degrees to allow just the right amount of fresh air into cabins, heads and saloon areas.

Cockpit
Bavaria Cruiser 41s are designed for peaceful sailing in all conditions and are simple to manage, making them a fantastic choice for racing enthusiasts. When equipped with race gear, they become known as C 41 S models, featuring low-aspect cast iron fin keels of 2.05 meters, taller performance alloy Selden tapered mast and boom, as well as Rodkick gas-sprung vang for effortless amateur regatta competition.
An expansive cockpit area provides plenty of room to move about and work comfortably at the helm, thanks to twin-wheel steering that makes keeping an eye on sails simple visibility for all points of sail. A six-person seating arrangement features a handy chart plotter. Furthermore, a fold-down boarding platform makes getting out onto inviting waters or on-island adventures simple.

Sailing Performance
The Bavaria 41 is constructed on a sturdy platform, which serves multiple functions. When dropping anchor and transitioning from your dinghy, this platform serves as the boarding point. Loading supplies, inflating the dinghy, or simply relaxing after an exhilarating day on the water. At the rear end, there is also a convenient gangway as well as ample room to store and charge batteries.
A lightweight but efficient Selden performance mast and racing boom allow this cruiser to adapt quickly to changing conditions. All lines lead aft towards the cockpit for convenient trimming from either side, as is standard practice on European production boats.
The Genoa tracks have been mounted at an ideal distance for easy trimming by the helmsman, while Elvstrom Sails membrane sails are fitted onto this rig for superior performance. Garmin’s electronic instrumentation provides speed, course to wind, and other essential information directly through its instrument panel at the helm.
Aucklander Thomas Baron recently added a Gennaker to his Cruiser 41 and significantly upgraded her sailing performance. While Baron describes himself as an enthusiastic cruiser, he does not plan on mimicking WW1 flying ace Edward Sopwith’s antics onboard! Baron chose an optional big foresail rig along with a sizeable symmetrical rudder and Jefa steering for quick responses on his new boat!
