Buying a Honda HRV

Whether you are shopping for a new Honda HRV or are considering a used model, there are many things to consider. Specifically, you will want to determine whether or not it has the right features for you. This includes things such as interior design and engine options.

Interior design

Taking Honda’s new design direction, the HR-V’s interior is a fresh take on the company’s design philosophy. It centers around concepts of space, light, and wind. It also incorporates premium materials and thoughtful design details.

The interior of the HR-V has a spacious, comfortable feel. The cabin offers plenty of headroom, legroom, and trunk space for four passengers, as well as a generous list of standard features. The center console is curved and richly upholstered with French stitching. It also features a pass-through for USB charging ports.

The HR-V’s interior also features a 7-inch color touchscreen with physical knobs for the audio system volume. It also has Apple CarPlay(r) and Android Auto compatibility. The center console also has a rear tray for smartphone devices.

The new HR-V features a significantly larger engine and an independent rear suspension. It also has more rear-seat legroom than its predecessor and a larger cargo area. It also comes with standard front occupant knee airbags. It also includes the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety technologies, including lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam assist, and collision mitigation warning.

Engine options

Powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the HRV is capable of 158 horsepower. Combined fuel economy is 26 mpg with FWD and 28 mpg with AWD.

The Honda HRV offers several unique technology features. This includes a Display Audio system with smartphone integration and Apple CarPlay(TM) integration. Enhanced driver assistance technology also comes standard. It features speed-sensitive steering feedback, which allows for better maneuvering in tight spaces.

In addition to the new 2.0-liter engine, the HR-V features a retuned all-wheel drive system. The new system sends more torque to the rear wheels, which promises to improve the ride quality. It also features a redesigned Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT), which has been re-engineered for better power delivery. The transmission also features revised shift mapping.

Trim levels

Currently, there are three trim levels of the Honda HRV. Each trim offers a different level of convenience and comfort. However, all three offer the same EPA mpg ratings.

The entry-level HR-V trim level is powered by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission that helps the HR-V achieve great fuel economy.

The base HR-V trim level is designed to deliver reliability and efficiency at an economical price. It offers features such as automatic climate control, HD Radio capabilities, and rear privacy glass. This trim also features power-adjustable side mirrors. This model is available in colors including Crystal Black Pearl and Aegean Blue Metallic.

The Sport model of the HR-V offers a sportier drive with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, 18-inch alloy wheels, and fog lights. It also features a 180-watt six-speaker audio system. This trim also has a chrome exhaust tip and red seat stitching.

Redesign for 2023

Taking a look at the Honda HRV redesign for 2023, you’ll notice that the new model is longer, wider, and boasts a sportier profile. The new model features a long hood, wide-set LED headlights, and a sculpted hatch. The grille features a honeycomb-style design and the rear doors feature door handles.

The new Honda HR-V is based on the new Honda Global Architecture, which was first deployed in the award-winning 11th-generation Honda Civic. The HR-V will have a more capable chassis and a roomier interior than the previous model. The new model’s platform will also allow it to grow in size.

The HR-V will have a new, more powerful engine. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder will be powered by a CVT and produce 158 horsepower. The previous engine was rated at 141 horsepower.

Recommendations

Whether you are looking for a family-friendly, small SUV, or just a great car to drive around town, you should consider the Honda HRV. It is a nice car, priced competitively, and has some great features. Its interior has plenty of room, and the Magic Seat, which allows the rear seats to fold flat, makes hauling cargo a breeze. It is also available in a hybrid model that offers low emissions and an excellent economy.

The HR-V’s interior is more sophisticated than the previous model. It offers good visibility, soft-touch points, and decent controls. Its new infotainment system is more advanced and intuitive than the old one. It includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 7-inch touchscreen is standard, while the EX-L trim includes a 9-inch unit.
